Mr. Berry is a financial expert with strategic and operational expertise in building and integrating global operations. Vertical industry experience includes financial and professional services, real estate and technology. He was the president of Independence Capital Partners. ICP was a Philadelphia based group of 8 PE fund families which, at the time, had an aggregate of over $12B of investor funds under management. The various fund families included real estate, mezzanine financing, biotech, community banking, distressed LBOs & buyout/growth equity. Before ICP, he was a partner with PricewaterhouseCoopers where he ultimately became CEO of the US Tax Business, was a member of the US Management Committee and the Global Tax Executive Committee. At that time, the US Tax Business had revenue of approximately $2 billion with 28 separate business units in 54 markets with 700+ partners and 7,000 staff.
Mr. Berry is the CEO of CR Group, LP an advisory and regulatory consultancy. In that role he serves on a number of boards in various roles including Lead Director. His current emphasis is on the middle market where he is also an investor in a variety of companies with an emphasis on technology.
